CNC Vertical Machinist/Operator

The successful candidate will have machine operator experience with operating CNC mill machines. Must have the capability to work independently in a fast-paced environment with a focus on quality and strong attention to detail. In addition to loading components and CNC programs, milling operators mount, align and secure tooling, attachments and work-pieces on machines; monitor, clean and maintain machines; perform machine adjustments; inspect machined components to ensure quality of finished product; inspect cutting tools and disposition of worn or defective tools; and maintain a clean surrounding work area.



Machinist I (Mill Operator)

Operate computer numerical control (CNC) machines; mount, align and secure tooling, attachments and work-pieces on machine chucks; monitor and maintain machines; perform machine adjustments or repairs; ensure quality of finished product; clean machines, tooling and parts and maintain clean working area.

Job Requirements: A two-year degree in Technical Machining or minimum 3 years of performing CNC mill and/or lathe machine operation is preferred. Ability to read blueprints; knowledge of spherical measurement and checking methods using micrometer, caliper, height gauge and optical hand tools; knowledge of milling, drilling, turning, and grinding using a multiple axis CNC machine; ability to pass a basic math skills test at Dye CNC.



Machinist II (Machine Set-up Person)

Perform tool set-up and inspections for mill and lathe machines and maintain machines in preparation for operators to run machines to produce complex metal parts for various paintball, medical, aerospace, semiconductor, and/or biomedical products, as assigned.

Job Requirements: A two-year degree in Technical Machining or minimum 3 years skilled in safely and efficiently setting up CNC lathe and/or mill machines. Possess computer skills involving CAD, CAM and CNC macros; knowledge of cutting tools, calipers, and micrometers; ability to read blueprints; knowledge of spherical measurement and checking methods using micrometer, caliper, height gauge and optical hand tools; knowledge of milling, drilling, turning, and grinding using a multiple axis CNC machine; ability to pass a basic math skills test at Dye CNC.
